Think Lethal Company meets Dead Space with corporate dark comedy.

Deep Haul supports 2-4 players in online co-op. Teamwork significantly improves survival outcomes—solo operations are not supported. According to Salvage Solutions Inc. data, solo operations have a 340% higher mortality rate.

Deep Haul is online co-op only. All salvage operations are conducted via online coordination through the Steam platform. Local co-op is not currently supported—The Drift is rather far from... everywhere.

Deep Haul is a horror game with tension, atmospheric scares, and threatening enemies in dark environments. However, it balances horror with dark comedy through S.A.L.L.I.'s cheerfully unhelpful commentary and the absurdity of corporate bureaucracy applied to life-or-death situations.

Deep Haul uses a two-tier oxygen system. Each player has a personal O2 tank (180 seconds) that drains based on activity—sprinting, stress, and environmental hazards increase consumption. Personal tanks refill from the ship's shared reserve when in pressurized areas. When the ship reserve depletes, everyone is in trouble.

When the extraction timer hits zero, your ship extracts automatically—with or without you. Associates who miss extraction can request Emergency Retrieval (500 credits) or await the next scheduled pickup (timeline varies). Per Section 7.1 of the Employee Handbook, Salvage Solutions Inc. is not liable for Associates who become... delayed.

Combat is limited. You are not equipped to fight the things in The Drift. They've been there for decades or centuries and know these ships better than you ever will. Your strategy should be: avoid, distract, and hide. Flares draw attention, noise makers create diversions, and darkness is usually your friend.

Death in Deep Haul is per-mission. If you die during a salvage operation, you're out for the rest of that run. However, you can join your crew on the next mission. Your debt remains, of course—Salvage Solutions Inc. maintains meticulous records.

Deep Haul shares the extraction horror and corporate comedy elements of Lethal Company but is set in a sci-fi universe with deeper lore. It features the AI companion S.A.L.L.I., a two-tier oxygen management system, and derelict ships instead of moons. The humor comes from the same dark corporate indifference to worker safety.

Like Phasmophobia, Deep Haul features information-gathering tension with multiple tools that each reveal part of the picture. But in Deep Haul, you're not hunting—you're being hunted while trying to grab everything that isn't bolted down. The extraction timer adds pressure that Phasmophobia's investigation format doesn't have.

If you enjoy Lethal Company, Phasmophobia, Deep Rock Galactic, GTFO, or Content Warning, you'll find familiar elements in Deep Haul. It combines extraction gameplay, co-op horror, resource management, and dark corporate comedy in a sci-fi setting with an AI companion who genuinely wants to help but fundamentally cannot.
